Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA): Intracoronary imaging-based diagnosis and management

چکیده
Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is defined by clinical evidence of myocardial (MI) normal or near-normal on angiography. This condition present in about 5% to 25% patients presenting acute syndromes. MINOCA a working diagnosis. Current guidelines and consensus recommend identification underlying causes order optimize treatment, improve prognosis, promote prevention recurrent infarction. An accurate evaluation patient history, symptoms use invasive non-invasive imaging should lead epicardial microvascular differentiation from non-ischemic injury due both cardiac (e.g. myocarditis) non-cardiac disease pulmonary embolism). In this review, we highlight the role differential diagnosis MINOCA. Intravascular ultrasound optical coherence tomography are well known technologies used different settings chronic In patients, could help identify pathological alterations vessels that not visible angiography such as plaque disruption, dissection, thromboembolism, spasm, artery takotsubo syndrome. future, widespread these technologies, right context, optimization personalization better prognosis

متن کاملThe What, When, Who, Why, How and Where of Myocardial Infarction With Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA).
Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is an intriguing clinical entity that is being increasingly recognized with the more common use of coronary angiography during acute myocardial infarction. This review systematically addresses the contemporary understanding of MINOCA, including, (1) what are the diagnostic criteria, (2) when the diagnosis should be considered...

BACKGROUND Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA) is common with a prevalence of 6% of all patients fulfilling the diagnosis of myocardial infarction. MINOCA should be considered a working diagnosis. Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging has recently been suggested to be of great value to determine the cause behind MINOCA. The objectives of this paper are to de...

IN THE DIAGNOSIS of myocardial infarction, selective coronary arteriography almost invariably demonstrates evidence of occlusive atherosclerosis. There have, however, been reports of cases where technically excellent coronary arteriograms have shown normal vessels and a variety of causes other than atherosclerosis have been incriminated.1-4 This problem has not been resolved but some evidence n...
